As one of that wide circle of friends (exactly 50 years in my case), I gained so much from Jeremy’s hospitality, kindnesses and counsel over the years. My remarkable friend was also the source of endless mischievous fun and laughter. I am honoured to have known him. I can’t imagine how bereft Jane and the family must be. My deep condolences.
