AHERNE, The death has occurred of Reverend Fr. Francis (Vincent) Aherne O.S.A. St. Augustine’s Ballyboden/Whitechurch, and formerly of Drogheda, Kenya, and Nigeria - Peacefully at St. Augustine’s Priory, Ballyboden on Saturday, January 28th, 2023.Predeceased by his parents John and Ellen Aherne, and brother Donal. Deeply regretted by his brothers Barry and Tony; his niece Aisling; nephews Jonathan, Justin, Stuart, Shane, and Keith; sisters-in-law Ethel, Aileen and Claire; grandnieces and grandnephews; Augustinian Confreres, parishioners, relatives, and friends. Removal to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Whitechurch, Ballyboden, Dublin 16, D16 W263 today (Monday), arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. The Funeral Cortege will then proceed to the Augustinian Church, Washington Street, Cork to arrive for prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11am. Burial thereafter in St. James's Cemetery, Chetwynd. May he rest in peace
