McAVINCHEY - David J. F.R.C.S.I. (Kilruane, Co. Tipperary)
David died peacefully on October 15, 2022, in the tender care of the ICU in University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by his family. On the first anniversary of his death, his wife Elizabeth, children Andrew, Claire, Paul, Shane and Gavin, their partners, his beloved grandchildren, brother Kevin and sisters Una and Betty together with the extended McAvinchey, Cahill and Maguire families would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support we received at that time and over the past year. Thank you for the cards, letters, phone calls, messages and the many memories you recorded for us, particularly from pre-primary school in Monaghan, the ’71 UCD Medical Graduates and through retirement.
We are blessed with such a wonderful legacy and although we have not yet replied to all, we will do so.
Many travelled from near and far to be with us for the Funeral Mass and graveside service or joined online. It was appreciated and comforting.
Thanks are due to Keller’s Funeral Directors for their professional care and guidance.
Fr. Pat Greed, the parish priest of Cloughjordan, was with us throughout that sad time and brought us some consolation. The Cloughjordan parish and particularly our friends and neighbours from Kilruane looked after us closely too.
The Kilruane Choir and musicians played and sang beautifully.
Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
David rests in peace now.
He will be missed and
remembered always.
