SHEILS - Joseph Oliver (Joe) - As Joe’s first anniversary approaches

(October 19) his wife, Gillian wants to thank Diane and the nurses who cared for Joe during his short stay in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, Rev. Dr. Iain, Canon Joyce and Rev. Mike who officiated at his funeral, the members of the Drogheda Brass Band and St. George’s Brass Band, Dublin who played the hymns and especially, Stephen Murray, who played Last Post and Reveille at his grave, David Sheils and Labour Party Members who bore Joe’s coffin, Ged Nash, T.D., David and Helen Sheils who paid tributes for Joe’s life, Members of Clogherhead RNLI who attended, family members who sent flowers,

F. Watson and Son, Funeral Directors, who guided us through the reposing, funeral and burial with kindness and professionalism, The ladies of the Parish who provided refreshments in the Parish Hall, those who attended the funeral, those who have sent condolences by whatever means.

“The song has ended

but the melody lingers on”.
