DOWNEY, Timothy Patrick (Ted) (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly Mashanglass, Macroom, Co. Cork) 31st August 2024. Peacefully, in his 97th year, in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady’s Manor, Dalkey. Beloved husband of the late Carmel (Ryan), devoted Dad of John, Mary (Tuck), Elizabeth (Lorton) Deirdre and Tim, and brother to Kay (Healy). He will be sadly missed by his daughters, sons, sister, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, granddaughter-in-law, grandsons-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. May he rest in peace. Ted will be reposing tomorrow (Wednesday) from 5pm to 7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, A94 XK28. Funeral Mass on Thursday (September 5th) at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
