O'FLAHERTY (née Glespen), Carmel (Carrie), (late of Athy, Co. Kildare and Greystones, Co. Wicklow and Terenure) - January 25, 2010 (peacefully), at Tallaght Hospital after a brief illness, beloved wife of the late James and adored mother of Paschal, Gerard, Séamus, Colette and the late Clare; greatly missed by her family, son-in-law Leo, daughters-in-law Agnes and Oonagh, grandchildren Gavin and Anne-Marie, Colin and Tia, Kate, Lisa and Niamh, great-grandchildren James and Seán, her dear sister-in-law Madeleine, relatives and friends. Rest in peace. Removal today (Thursday) morning to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Greystones arriving for 12 noon requiem Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Redford Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Red Cross, Haiti Appeal.

Wicklow), January 25, 2010 - Greatly missed and remembered with much love by her sons Paschal, Gerry and Séamus and her daughter Colette, family and friends. On the occasion of the First Anniversary of Carrie's death we wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us. We are deeply grateful to the many who wrote letters of condolence, and sent Mass cards and flowers, and to all who called to the house and attended the funeral. We offer our sincere thanks to the staff of the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, and to Fr. Aquinas Duffy, PP, and Fr. Karl Fortune, CC, of the parish of St. Pius X, Templeogue. We will never forget the kindness and support we received from so many people. A Mass will be offered for your intentions. Carrie's First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated today (Saturday January 22, 2011) in St. Pius X Church, Templeogue, Dublin 6W, at 7.00pm.
