FAY, John, (Mossfield, Clareen, Birr, Co. Offaly) - As we approach the First Anniversary of John's death, March 10, 2015, his wife Angela together with Caroline, Niall and Clodagh, their families, John's brothers and sister, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who were at our sides supporting us throughout John's short illness and untimely death, through their good deeds, thoughtful words and so many acts of kindness which are a continuing source of comfort to us all. Thank you to Dr. Pat McGovern, ( Birr), Professor Maccon Keane, the staff of Galway Clinic and Liam Butler M.P.S.I for their care; The Priests, Choir, Sacristan and Altar Servers of St. Brendan's Church, Birr, those who read and offered prayers, Campbell Boyd, John Molloy, Ciaran Cooney and his friend and business partner of almost thirty-six years Stephen Grant who all contributed to a Funeral Mass full of comfort and solace, overseen with graciousness by the late Fr. Tony Cahir. R.I.P. To the management and staff of Romaquip Ltd., Kieran Garahy's Test and Service Centre, and especially to the colleagues, management, staff, and Polish community of John's beloved Grant Engineering for their guards of honour, it was a sight to behold and words cannot adequately express our gratitude and pride. Thank you to Clonoghill Cemetery gravediggers and to Boyd Funeral Directors who on our saddest day laid John to rest with dignity and care, accompanied by the beautiful music of David Kinsella, uilleann piper. A sincere thanks to Birr GardaĆ, Kearns Coach Hire and all those who helped with traffic management, to Sharon Grant, Dooly's Hotel, The Loughnane family and The County Arms Hotel for their catering. To our extended family, neighbours and friends, all who called to the house and attended the Funeral Mass, for all your donations to The Irish Cancer Society, Mass cards, calls, messages, flowers, hugs and handshakes, chats and stories, gentle touches, tears, smiles and kind words, we are forever grateful and thank you for helping us to celebrate John's life. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. John's Anniversary Mass will take place in St. Brendan's Church, Birr on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 12.00 noon.
