DURKAN, Beatrice (née Boyle) May 28 2016, Carrowkeel Stud, Newtown Lane, Ballyedmonduff Road, Sandyford, Dublin 18, (late of Derrowell, Balla, Co. Mayo), (peacefully), at home surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her son John. Beloved wife of Bill, much loved mother of Ann Marie, Danny, Margaret, Mo, Neil, Bea, Liam and Aiden, grandmother of Beatrice, Emma, Kiva, James, John, Neil, Ailbhe, Ariana, Amelia, Dahlia and William and great-grandmother to Lucy. Very sadly missed by her sisters Peg Ryan (New York), Kathleen McGovern (Enniskillen), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing at her family home today May 30 (Monday) from 2-8pm. Removal tomorrow (Tuesday) to St. Patrick's Church, Glencullen, for 12 noon Mass followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. House private on Tuesday morning. Family flowers only, donations if desired to Fr. Peter McVeery Trust www.pmvtrust.ie.May she rest in peace with her darling son John.

In loving memory of Beatrice on the eve of her First Anniversary, Bill, Ann Marie, Danny, Margaret, Mo, Neil, Bea, Liam, Aiden and families would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised and supported us then and during the past year. We would like to express our gratitude to all those who called to our home, attended the Funeral Mass and burial, who telephoned, sent Mass cards, letters of condolence, flowers, emails, texts and made charitable donations. Thank you also to all our wonderful relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for your support. We would like to thank Professor Ken McDonald and all the doctors and nurses of the Heart Failure Unit and Professor Alan Watson of St. Vincent's Private Hospital for the wonderful care shown towards Beatrice. Also, Dr. John Hastings for being so available to Beatrice during her illness and to all the nurses and carers who tended Beatrice at her home in particular, Kate, Shula and Bo, thanks also to the staff of the Blackrock Hospice. Thank you Fr. John Jacob, Fr. Brendan Kealy and Fr. Ciaran O'Mahony for celebrating Requiem Mass, for your spiritual support at the time of our sad loss and since. Thank you to Susan Maguire and Dermot Laide of Massey Funeral Directors, Mary Mahon, Jimmy Mulvey, Stepaside Garda Station and all in our community who kindly assisted with arrangements. Your kindness and support will always be remembered and appreciated. Mass has been offered for your intentions.
