Remembering Jim Dooge

I have fond memories of the summer Jim Dooge and his family were in Allenspark CO, where he was working at the Rocky Mountain Hydraulic Laboratory. I was 13 or 14 years old and greatly enjoyed reading the copies of the Dublin Opinion that he gave me that summer.

Jim Posey

In honour to Jim Dooge.

Jim came into my life when I still studied hydrology in Wageningen around the seventies. Meeting him was a privilege. Later, during my academic career I met him several times in Dublin, Wageningen and other places. I have wonderful memories about his kindness, his personal interest and of course his deepinsight, broad knowledge and integrity in science. I am so thankful for having met Jim in life and I regret so much he has gone. I will remember him for the rest of my life.
