Musical Legacy
Greatly saddened to hear of Harry's death. He made an immense contribution to the musical life of N Ireland over the past fifty years, especially in the field of choral music. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him but we will take comfort and pride in his achievements and recognise that those achievements shall serve as his musical legacy.

A True Gentleman

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Harry Grindle, a sincere, caring, thoughtful and talented person. William and his brother, Norman, were both choristers at St. Anne's Cathedral while I was taught by Harry at Stranmillis. It is almost 32 years to the day when Harry spoke at our wedding - a quiet, thoughtful and caring speech that was so typical of this amazing man. Although we now live in Winnipeg, Canada, Harry is often remembered in our home ... especially when we are listening to choral music - even more so if the diction is not all that it might be!

Harry Grindle, a true gentleman who touched the lives of so many.

Our sympathies go out to Heather, the girls and the extended family.

Cyndy and William Jones and family.
