McCAFFREY, Daniel (Dan) (Foxrock, Dublin, and Stradone, Cavan; ex-Garda Síochána and United Nations) January 1, 2018 – (peacefully) at home, after a long and wonderful life, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Kay, sadly missed by his children, Catherine, Helen, Danny, John and Christine, sons and daughters-in law Mike, Mark, Chrissie, Una and Simon, grandchildren Rebecca, Daniel, James; Daniel Matthew, Robert, William; Dan, Luke, Eleanor, Peter; Katelyn, Christopher and Sophie; and his surviving brothers and sisters, Fr. Jim, Christy, Sr. Helen, Rita, Patsy, Florrie, Breda and Austin. Deeply regretted by his large family and a wide circle of friends. Removal this (Wednesday) evening to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock, arriving at 5pm. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Thursday) at 11am, followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. “May his good and gentle soul rest in peace”
