On the sad occasion of his First Anniversary [20 April 2021] Noelle, Niamh, John, Hugh and Aifric, together with Seán’s brother, Colm and the Gallagher family would like to express our deep appreciation to all who sympathised with us on Seán’s untimely passing. We are deeply touched by the comfort and support given to us by so many at a time of great loss and sadness.

A special word of thanks to our wonderful neighbours and friends. To all who sent cards, letters, flowers and messages. For the meals that just turned up on the doorstep. For the many acts of kindness we received.

Special thanks to Fr. Leonard Moloney SJ for the beautiful funeral mass which was viewed by so many all over the world, though only ten could be present in the church due to Covid restrictions, and to Andrea Mulligan and Nigel Smith who sang so beautifully and to Marion Mc Evoy who made that possible.

Deepest gratitude also to Peter Fanagan for his personal and professional contribution to Seán’s funeral.

Special thanks to the staff in the Mater Hospital ICU who did everything possible for Seán during his illness, caring for him when we could not visit.

Many thanks to Prof. Dónal Buggy and Na Fianna GAA Club who formed an extended family around us.

Special thanks also to our many friends in Donegal who prayed, lit candles and sent their support.

Seán himself would have been humbled and we hope proud of the respect expressed to him by his many friends and colleagues in the legal profession.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
