<p>GARRY, John Daniel, MB ChB, LRCPS(I), FRCP(C), MSc (Harvard), CD. On Sunday, August 12, 2018 at home with his family in his 82nd year. Born at &quot;Forthill&quot; in Kildysart, Co Clare, Ireland. Deeply loved by his wife of 54 years, Julie, and their two children, Alice and Ben (Doris). Granddaddy to baby Elise. John graduated from the RCSI in Ireland in 1961. After a five year short service commission in the British Army, he emigrated to Canada in 1969 and his career was dedicated to the practice of Public Health in British Columbia. He was an avid golfer his entire life, he enjoyed both the social aspect with many golfing friends and the strategy of the game. He dedicated his time to researching his family's history and was always interested in the stories and connections he made through his hobby. He wrote two books, one about his renowned Uncle Tom, the Anatomist and Kildysart and Environs. He led a life of integrity and trustworthiness and with faith and strength he struggled with serious illness for many years. A Funeral Mass was held on August 20, 2018 at St. John the Apostle Church, Vancouver, BC.</p>
