MATTHEWS, Daphne (née Dowling) October 1, 2023 (St. Andrews, Scotland and formerly of São Paulo, Brazil, Monkstown and Dalkey, Co. Dublin) -Suddenly but peacefully, in her 84th year, at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Beloved wife of John, much-loved mother of Steve, Joe and Andy, mother-in-law of Nicky, Jo and Tori, grandmother of James and Angus; and sister of Derek. Sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Funeral and celebration of Daphne’s life will take place at Saint Andrew’s Church, St. Andrews on Thursday 12th October at 12.15pm, followed by interment at the Western Cemetery, St. Andrews.
