BRENNAN - Nigel (Fourth Anniversary) - Thinking of you today as we do every day. Miss you so much. Love from Dad, Mam, Caleb.
BRENNAN It is one year since we lost our beloved Nigel. Nigel's wife, Pauline and children, Fiadh and Tom, his parents Ronan and Ann (Clarke) and his brother Caleb and his aunt, Mally Noonan, would like to thank all those who supported us following Nigel's departure from our lives. We would like to thank especially Fr. Shane Crombie (a loyal friend) and his concelebrant, Fr. Paul O'Connell for Nigel's funeral Mass and the Sacred Heart School Choir who performed so beautifully at his Mass. We would also like to thank Ms Grainne Finnerty for her violin playing "Steal Away". We also thank the paramedics and Dr. Jim Quinlan GP for your kindness to us all. A most sincere thanks is also extended to Ms Orla Healy, Deputy Principal and Mr Denis Doherty, Chairman of the Board of Management, who assisted and supported both family and colleagues at this very sad time. Thank you to the staff of the Sacred Heart School for your support and assistance. Equally, a most sincere thank you to the students of Sacred Heart School, Colaiste Choilm and Tullamore College for their most dignified guard of honour. To Nigel's many friends, from NUIM and UCD and Tullamore, thank you for your help then and now. Thank you especially to his local and lifelong friends who carried him to his final resting place. Thanks, is also extended to the people of Tullamore - to the owners and staff of shops who stood in respectful silence as Nigel went through his beloved town for the last time. The gesture will always be remembered with gratitude. We particularly wish to thank all those who called to our houses during this time, especially those who travelled from many parts of Ireland, England, Scotland and further afield, or simply those from our local community. A special acknowledgement is due to the Gardai from Tullamore Garda Station who smoothed our passage as we walked Nigel to his final resting place. Special thanks also to O Reilly Undertakers; your kindness and compassion is remembered long after those sad days. A most sincere thanks to our neighbours in Whitehall, who acted not so much as a community but as a second family. We wish to thank the hundreds of people, past pupils included, who wrote to us, sharing wonderful memories of Nigel. Thank you for thinking of us. To those wonderful friends who have been so good to Nige's family- thank you for minding us. On September 3, 2018, Nigel stole quietly away from our lives. Thank you all for supporting us. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for you in grateful appreciation."The trees are
in their autumn beauty,
The woodland paths are dry"
