Thompson, (Cork & Roches Pt. and late of the Port of Cork) on October 13, 2022, peacefully in the excellent care of St. Luke’s Home and with his family present Capt. Gordon Thompson. Dearly loved husband of Brenda, loving father of Ailsa and Brian, brother of the late Robbie, loving grandfather of Miriam, Rose, Ely, Luke, Emily and Sam. Dear father-in-law of Martina and Laura. Will be sadly missed by all his family, sister-in-law Susan, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Reception into Saint Michael’s Church, Church Road, Blackrock on (today) Saturday at 6.30 p.m. Funeral Service on Monday at 2.30 p.m in the Church of Saint Michael and All Angels, Corkbeg, Whitegate, burial in adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St. Luke’s Home or R.N.L.I. ‘’At Peace’’
