QUINN - David - Today, on the First Anniversary of our beloved David’s untimely death on July 3, 2021, we, his family, Lucy, Isabella, Justin, Shane, Jack and Anna would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the many messages of condolence in letters, cards, on rip.ie, personal calls, phone calls, and emails, as well as to the huge number of people who stood outside the church because of pandemic restrictions. All of these were a great comfort to us at a time when we were heartbroken and unable to meet everyone in person. We thank David’s school friends who staunchly supported him during his final illness. And special thanks to the doctors, nurses and carers of Beaumont Hospital, Blackrock Hospice, Deacon Eric Cooney and Carnegies Funeral Directors for their sensitivity and guidance. We were astonished at the number of people, friends, colleagues, and casual contacts who told us how much their relationship with David, with his razor sharp wit and generous empathy, meant to them. He is missed every day and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched. We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our deep appreciation and gratitude.
