KISSANE, Brigadier General Jack (Seán) Retired, (Salthill, Galway, formerly Killomeroe, Lisselton, Co. Kerry) - 5th January, 2022 (peacefully) at his home in the loving care of his family. Pre-deceased by his first wife Mary (née Hassett), brothers Fr. Michael, Edward and Richie, sisters Mary and Peggy McElligott. Beloved husband of Maureen (née Dunleavy) and the late Mary, much loved father of Niamh Ryan (Tipperary), Katherine Stapleton (Naas), John (Wales), Lorna Mayne, (Dubai) and Keith (Barna, Galway). Deeply mourned by his wife and family, sister Hannah May Liston, daughters-in-law Corrin and Hilary, sons-in-law Dominic, Eoin and Steve, adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended Kissane, Dunleavy and Hassett families, neighbours and friends. Family flowers only. Donations to ‘Community Palliative Care Team', www.galwayhospice.ie Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway today (Thursday,) 6th January from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A 'Walk-Through' system is in place therein. Removal on Saturday, 8th January to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon Cemetery. To prevent the spread of Covid-19 , Mass will be celebrated with relatives and close friends.
