FLYNN, Paddy (School Road, Castlegar, Galway, formerly of Bloomhill Co. Offaly, Garrycastle, Athlone. Co. Westmeath and Galway Real Estate) 15 March, 2025. Paddy completed his life’s journey with his dearly loved wife Marrion and relatives by his side in the gentle care of the staff of GUH. Pre-deceased by his parents Seán and Mary, sister-in-law Mary Flynn and brother-in-law Hughie Macken. Deeply mourned by Marrion, brothers Martin and Johnny and sister Maureen Macken (Athlone). Sadly missed also by his sister-in-law Maureen, nieces Richella, Áine and Joanne, nephews Seán, Phelim, Conor, Damien and Colm, grandnephews, grandnieces, by the extended Flynn and Hunt family, wonderful neighbours and many friends. Reposing at the Church of the Holy Family Funeral Parlour, Mervue (H91 FH52) today Tuesday, March 18, from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Entrance to the funeral parlour is through the Church. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Paddy on arrival at St. Columba’s Church, Castlegar (H91E4C9) at 12 noon tomorrow (Wednesday, March 19). Mass will be livestreamed. Following Mass Paddy will be laid to rest in Cregg Cemetery, Glebe, Claregalway, House Private. Memorial donations if desired will be gratefully accepted by the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and or/ the Galway Hospice. No flowers please. Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand
