CARROLL Dr. Dan (Killiney, Co. Dublin) The family of the late Dr. Dan Carroll, who died on August 23, 2015, wish to express our thanks for the many kind gestures of support of friends from UCD, Killiney GC, Powerscourt GC, old friends, new friends - his and ours - family, neighbours. It truly helped us to know we were in your thoughts and prayers during these difficult days. Your expression of sympathy and support was, and continues to be, much appreciated by us all. Thank you. We are still reminded of the care provided by the staff of St Vincent's Hospital, not just in Dan's final weeks, but over the years of treatment, interventions, emergency admissions and ICU care. It was not just the excellent standard of professional care provided by the nurses and doctors but also the gentle, human touch provided by all the staff, including the reception and cafeteria staff. It cannot always be an easy environment to work in but the kindness we received mattered to Dan and to all of us. A big thank you must also go to the great work and loving care given by the doctors, nurses and physiotherapists in the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook. Through their encouragement Dan gained a further three years of quality time with his family and friends. Thank you.
