O'HANLON, Shane

O'HANLON (Shane) (Raheny, Dublin 5 Died April 13, 2011) On his First Anniversary, the family of the late Shane, former Assistant Secretary, Department of Environment, Chairman of the National Building Agency and Taoiseach Clann Ui Annluain wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised and supported them in their bereavement. Sincere thanks to the huge number of people, some of whom travelled long distances, who called to his home, attended his Mass and funeral, who sent Mass and condolence cards, floral tributes and letters of sympathy. A special word of thanks to his kind neighbours, his carer Breda Seery, Dr. Sean Lynch and the staff at both Home Instead Senior Care and the HSE Clinic in Raheny for their kind care of our father Shane. Special thanks to Shane's brother-in-law Fr. Joseph P. Delaney P.P., Newport, Co. Tipperary who made the funeral Mass a moving and touching occasion for us all. Because of the huge numbers of Dad's friends, former work colleagues, neighbours and sympathisers and those friends of his daughters Ita, Anne and Margaret, his sons, Shane, Enda, and Fintan, his daughters-in-law Mary, Anne, Catherine and Mary, his son-in-law Fergal, his grandchildren, his sisters-in-law Mary and Helen and his brothers-in-law, Michael, Stephen and Eamon, regretfully we cannot acknowledge each one individually, but we wish all to know that their kind wishes were so comforting and appreciated. A Novena of Masses will be offered for all their intentions.The day thou gavest Lord is ended,
