Deeply regretted by his entire family circle. Funeral Mass at 12 noon at St Gerard's, Antrim Road, Belfast today (Thursday). A second Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Wayside, Clonkeen, Kerry on Saturday, December 1, followed by burial at Ballyvourney Cemetery, Co Cork. House private.</p>

<p>Stunned to hear the awful news</p> <p>Donal was such a sound, solid unassuming man, who we will miss. I enjoyed his and his parents' hospitality when I stayed in the family home for a night as a student. Clonkeen 21 was the phone number (mine was Portmagee 9!). Simpler times! I regret not staying in touch with Donal over the years, but have good memories from the time we had the Honan hostel in UCC. I will include Donal in my prayers. May he rest in peace.
