I was so sorry to hear of Breandán's passing. I knew him when he was researching the Prehistoric Burial Site at Gortnacargy in Co.Cavan. Recently he allowed us to reproduce his treatise about it in our forthcoming book about Bawnboy. Nigel

I regret that I did not learn about Breandán's passing in time to attend his funeral. This is to offer my sympathies to his family. Professor Muiris Ó Súilleabháin, Emeritus Professor of Archaeology, UCD.
