CULLIGAN (Ballyvaughan, Co Clare) - March 11, 2012, Leonard Patrick, Loughrask in his 79th year, after a brief illness. Passed away peacefully, in the loving and devoted care of the staff of the Galway Clinic. Dearly missed by his wife Biddy, children Sarah, Douglas, Maurice, daughters-in-law Karen and Andrea, son-in-law John, grandchildren Molly, Hannah, Jonah, Jayden, Elliot and Finn in-laws Aine, Fr. Mairtin and Carmel, and Ruby, his travelling companion. Reposing at his daughter Sarah's home in Loughrask, Ballyvaughan today (Tuesday) from 4.30 p.m. - 7.30 p.m. Removal to St John The Baptist Church in Ballyvaughan for Mass in celebration of his life at 12 noon tomorrow (Wednesday). Burial afterwards in Bishops Quarter Cemetery. No flowers please. Donations instead to Cancer Care West much appreciated.
CULLIGAN Leonard (Ballyvaughan and formerly Ennis, Co. Clare) died on March 11 2012. On this the First Anniversary of Leonard's passing we his family wish to express our warmest gratitude to the many hundreds of friends and neighbours who came to say goodbye and offer us their support and unstinting help. We also wish to thank most sincerely all those who sent Mass cards and letters of sympathy. We extend our thanks to every member of the remarkable team in the ICU of the Galway clinic for the exceptional care he received. Thank you to Fr. Richard Flanagan, Fr. Máirtín O'Loghlen and Fr. Michael O'Loughlin for making his funeral Mass a true celebration of his life. To Nagles Undertakers, to the altar servers, to the choir our sincere thanks. To each and every person in the community who reached out to us in love and neighbourliness, your kindness will never be forgotten. Please accept this as a sincere acknowledgement of our deep gratitude to you all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass tomorrow (Sunday) March 10, at 11.00am in St. John The Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan will be offered in memory of Leonard and for your intentions.
