MURPHY, (Armagh and Balrothery, Ballbriggan) - August 17, 2025. After a long illness so courageously endured, peacefully in Beaumont Hospital, Gerard (Spud). RIP. Beloved and loving husband of Mary (nee Dorman) and adored father of Michael, Sarah and Lauren. Deeply mourned by his loving family. His brothers Hugh, Padraig, Martin, Phillip, Colm, his dear sister Mary, brothers- in- law, sisters- in- law, cherished nephews, nieces, god daughter and his many loyal and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary and brother Sean. RIP. Gerard will repose at his home on today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday) from 4.30pm until 8.00pm. Removal from Gerard’s late residence “Glebe House”, Balrothery, Ballbriggan K32 W261 on Friday at 10.30am to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Ballbriggan for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in Balrothery cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to M.S. Ireland. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
