CUFFE WALLACE - Siobhán (Dublin, Shankill and Ballyportry, Co. Clare). On the first anniversary of Siobhán’s passing on April 3, 2024, her husband Pat Wallace, her siblings Ann, Susan, Gráinne, Larry, Luan and Ciarán, their families and her Irish and American families and the wider circle of friends in her art, conservation, residents, parish and planning worlds wish to acknowledge the recognition accorded Siobhán then and since, not to mention the widespread support we have received. Thanks to Msgr Ciarán O'Carroll P.P. and Fr. Fachtna and Fr. Liam for the celebration of Siobhán’s Funeral Mass, as well as the musicians, soloists, readers and other participants together with St. Mary’s, Haddington Road staff. Thanks too to Dr. Eamonn Walsh for his administration of the last rites at Blackrock. Msgr. Ciarán also led the Prayers at Mount Jerome as did Fr. Seán Ó Longaigh, P.P., Askeaton, Fr. Cuthbert Brennan and Colmán Ó Clábaigh, OSB, at the Glenstal Interment. Our thanks to Siobhán’s carers in Blackrock, to the professionalism of Fanagan’s and to Liam Collins for his obituary. Thanks to Ann, Cornelia and Gabrielle for the flowers in Aungier Street and Haddington Road. We are grateful too for the kindness of the residents and business associations of the Pembroke neighbourhood, notably Helen and Michael Quinn, the Dowies and Mark Dineen and for their role with Brian Hanney of Dublin City Council in having commemorative plaques attached to a bench outside Baggot Street Hospital (so important to Siobhán) which was graciously unveiled by the Lord Mayor in the presence of local representatives. The plaques recognise Siobhán’s decades-long community service. Thanks too to Ellen Moiselle, Holy Child School, Killiney for the commemorative plaque on the pew and to Belvedere PPU for remembering Siobhán at an annual Mass. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our gratitude.
