O'KEEFFE, January 25, 2023, Professor Michael, (native of Ballylough, Mitchelstown, Delgany and Blackrock, Co. Dublin). Peacefully surrounded by his loving family and friends in the wonderful care of the staff of The Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his son Philip and sister Peg. Michael will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife Eleanor, daughter Isabelle, son Nicholas and his fiancée Aoife, Darran, his brother Ned (ex TD), sisters Eileen (Harrington), Breda (Allen), Kathleen (O’Flynn), and Mary (O’Neill), his brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends, colleagues and patients. Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, 5 Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock (A94 X308) this (Friday) evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal to The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock tomorrow (Saturday) morning arriving for 11.00am Requiem Mass (www.churchservices.tv/foxrock) followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Mater Foundation. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Sorry to hear of the premature death of a very decent individual. He was a houseman at St. Finbarr's hospital in Cork, when I knew him. I had a very pleasant evening in London with him when he was taking post-graduate exams and I have followed his career with interest. My deepest sympathy to his family.
