O'BRIEN (Patrick A.) (Pat) (DIT) (Highfield, Laytown, Co. Meath and formerly of 'Rostrevor' Kinsale Road, Cork) - January 31, 2011, (suddenly), beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Donal, Alan and Kevin. May he rest in peace. Reposing at his home from 4 o'clock today (Tuesday). Funeral tomorrow (Wednesday) after Mass at 11 o'clock in Church of the Sacred Heart, Laytown, to Reilig Mhuire, Piltown. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent de Paul.Ar dheis Dé go raibh anam dílis.

<p>The sad untimely death of Pat O'Brien</p> <p>Pat's sudden death is a shock I find hard to take in. I am profoundly sad for his wife Anne and children, to lose such an immense personality so suddenly.</p> <p>Cathal Brugha, UCD, former colleague in DIT</p>
