KIRBY Karl, - (Airfield, Newtown, Waterford) - On the occasion of his First Anniversary; Darina, Michael, Katie, Lucy and Sophie, family of the late Karl, beloved son and brother who died on June 20, 2019, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them following the loss of Karl. We offer our heartfelt thanks to all our family, relatives, friends, neighbours, and colleagues who visited our house and attended Karl's funeral and burial. We thank those who supported us in many ways during this difficult time. We are indebted to those who honoured Karl's musical talents with musical tributes in his memory. We appreciate those who sent messages of condolence, mass cards, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes and made generous donations to Waterford Hospice. We are truly grateful for your support. A special word of thanks to the staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Beaumont Hospital and the Waterford Palliative Care team who cared for Karl throughout his illness. We deeply appreciate the boys from Karl's Class in the De La Salle College who formed a guard of honour outside the Cathedral. We thank the Principal and staff for their support during Karl's illness and for their kindness in honouring Karl throughout this year. We thank the combined choirs and the many musicians, co-ordinated by David Forde organist, who gathered to sing and play so beautifully for Karl's funeral Mass. It was a very fitting tribute to Karl and we were comforted very much by the wonderful music. We thank Bishop Willie Walsh, Canon Edmond Cullinan and all the clergy who participated in the Ceremony for celebrating such a beautiful Mass. Finally we thank Patrick Hennessey's Funeral Directors for their kindness, sensitivity and professionalism."Solas na bhFlaitheas go raibh aige"
