GALLAGHER, Joseph (Joe) (late of Drumcondra and formerly Bord Fáilte (Fáilte Ireland) and Commandant AR MP) – May 22, 2023 (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Mater Hospital, after a short illness. Loving son of the late William (Dick) and Nurse Muriel. Deeply regretted and very sadly missed by his cousins, in particular Thomas (Toddy), Eileen and family, his extended family, neighbours, many friends, especially his life-long friends Paddy (O’Neill) and Clive (Brooks), former work colleagues and comrades. Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand, tomorrow (Wednesday) evening with a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5.00 o’clock to 7.00 o’clock. All welcome. Removal on Thursday morning (May 25) to St. Columba’s Church, Iona Road, arriving for 11.30 o’clock Requiem Mass, with Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery.
