HEFFERNAN, Rev. Fr. John (Johno) OP. The Dominican (Community, Newbridge). January 8, 2021. (Peacefully) in his sleep in his 94th year. Deeply regretted by his sister Nora, sister-in-law Maura, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great grand-nieces, great grand-nephews, his Dominican Brethren, the Principal & staff, pupils past & present of Newbridge College. R.I.P. Private funeral will take place at 11am today (Monday) in accordance with government guidelines. Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but can’t due to current pandemic can watch it on www.dominicansnewbridge.ie.

My condolences for a great teacher headmaster and friend when I was involved in the past pupils back in the 70s, not often can the phrase a gentleman and a scholar be used with such truth.a credit to the college. John Bergin
