<p>PURCELL, Eileen (née Marmion) August 19, 2018 (peacefully) in St. Mary’s Centre (Telford) 185-201 Merrion Road, Dublin 4 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late distinguished actor, Noel. Predeceased by her sons Michael (2015) and Victor (2014). She is survived by her grieving sons Glynn (Elizabeth née Jeffries) and Patrick (Oonagh née Ferguson), her grandchildren Zarah, Tiffany and Tom and her great granddaughters Phoebe and Emma. Rest in Peace. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Joe Kennedy on Tuesday 28th August at 11.00 am in the Oratory, St. Mary’s Centre, followed by burial at Dean Grange Cemetery, with her beloved husband. The family extend their gratitude to all the staff at St. Mary’s Centre, to all their friends for their support and to Fanagans Funeral Directors, Aungier Street.</p>

I used to,play bridge with Eilenn in Sandymount Bridge Club. Everyone in Sandymount knew Noel & Eileen. A real lady, it was a pleasure to have known her.

Sincere sympathy to Glynn and Patrick on their dear mother’s passing. My mother spent some good years in St. Mary’s with Eileen, R.I.P., A wonderful lady. She loved to sing “ Dublin can be Heaven” We lived in sandymount. Ann/Clare Kelly
