WALSH, (Killiney, Co Dublin) - October 3rd 2023, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of all the staff of the Blackrock Hospice with his family at his side, John, beloved husband and best friend of Geraldine, loving father of Christine, Stephanie, Simon and Sybil. Sadly missed by his wife, children, son-in-law Ian, daughter-in-law Zoe, adored grandchildren James, Ciaran, Isabel, Eloise and Aliana, his extended family and a close circle of friends. Reposing at his home Thursday (October 5th) from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal Friday (October 6th) to Sts Alphonsus and Columba Church, Ballybrack Village, arriving for 11.00am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on https://churchmedia.tv/camera/sts-alphonsus-and-columba-​bal​lybrack-killiney-parish followed by a private cremation. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Blackrock. “The last act is over and John has taken his final curtain call.”

John was always the gentleman. My Mam and I were fortunate to see him in Pygmalion while we were visiting from Canada in 1989. He was a commanding presence on the stage and such an interesting person off stage. Condolences to the entire extended family.
