BURKE, Martin (Foxrock, D.18 and former Ambassador of Ireland to Australia, Canada, Sweden, Luxembourg and Switzerland), June 28, 2018, (peacefully), in the excellent care of the Blackrock Hospice surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Mary, much-loved father of Ronan, Robert and Nicola, and proud Poppa of Grace and Martin Jr. Pre-deceased by his brother, William. Sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother James, daughter-in-law Michaela, son-in-law Ronan, his brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, extended family, friends and former colleagues. May he Rest in Peace. Reposing tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from 3pm - 4.30pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 10 o’c in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock followed by Burial at Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Blackrock Hospice.
