PEPPARD, Philomena (Ann), (Palmerston Park, Rathgar Dublin 6 and formerly of Pembroke St. Upper, Dublin 2) July 25, 2020 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Glenashling Nursing Home, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. Beloved daughter of the late Dr. Matthew J. and Sadie (née Foley) Peppard. Ann will be sadly missed by her relatives, friends and all who knew her. May she rest in peace. A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. Ann will be laid to rest with her parents in Bohernabreena Cemetery tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon following Mass at Glenashling Nursing Home at 12.30 pm. Sorry I'm only seeing this notice now, I have fond memories of Ann who knew my parents. She once regaled me with memories of many notable Irish religious and political figures. She was a great character. Alan Sheehy-​Skeffington

Ann was one of Rathmines' great characters.​She had many 'Dream boats' and we often quote her 'Don't tell the big shot love, but...' I can still picture her popping her head in the door at work, with her long green coat and red lipstick. RIP
