LOFTUS (née Landers), Pixie, (Clybaun, Galway and formerly Rosbeg, Westport, Co. Mayo) June 27, 2018, (retired Radiographer U.H.G.), beloved wife of the late Kevin, adored mother of John, Barbara, Donal and Brian, sister of the late Teresa and the late Dan; sadly missed by her children, brother Maurice (Australia), son-in-law John (Coll), daughter-in-law Marian, grand- children Rebecca, Kevin and Tess, extended family and friends. Reposing at St. Anthony's Room within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra, Galway today (Friday) from 4.00 p.m. with removal at 6.00 p.m. to the Church. Funeral after 10.15 a.m. Requiem Mass tomorrow (Saturday) to Rahoon Cemetery. House Private.With her beloved Kevin.

LOFTUS (née Landers) Pixie (Clybaun Road, Galway), died June 27, 2018, predeceased by her beloved husband Kevin (died October 5, 2012). On the First Anniversary of her death, we remember Pixie with deep love and affection. Her sons John, Donal and Brian and her daughter Barbara (Coll), together with their partners and families, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with and supported us following Pixie's passing. These include our relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. Special thanks are offered to Pixie's friends, especially those from Galway Flower and Garden Club and to her former colleagues from UCHG. We are deeply grateful to her dear friend Lorna McMahon for her loyal friendship over many decades. We thank all those who looked after Pixie at home, especially her wonderful carers Caroline and Magret. We thank the staff of Rushmore Nursing Home and the staff of St. Jarlath's Ward in the Bons Secours Hospital, whose tender care eased her final weeks. We thank all who attended her repose, funeral Mass and interment, those who sent expressions of condolence, letters, Mass cards and those who visited us personally. In particular, we thank Fr. Tadhg Quinn, her friend of many years, who officiated at her uplifting funeral Mass, Fr. John O'Gorman who concelebrated and Father Terry O'Brien who officiated at the interment. We thank Dr. Brendan O'Connor and the combined choirs of Cois Cladaigh and the Ranelagh Singers for their beautiful singing, an abiding memory. We thank O'Flaherty Funeral Directors and the cemetery staff for their kindness and professionalism. To all of you, please accept this acknowledgement of your thoughtfulness for us and your appreciation of Pixie, a remarkable person who enriched our lives beyond measure. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. Pixie's First Anniversary Mass will be held today (Saturday, June 29) at St. John the Apostle Church, Knocknacarra at 6.30 pm.
