GREY Georgine (née Troughton-Smith) Died February 15, 2016. Today on what would have been her 73rd birthday Douglas, with children Amanda, Richard and Lyndsay together with their Spouses Eric, Kay and Francois and Georgie's brother Michael and his wife Patricia and the wider family wish to thank most sincerely all our friends who sympathised with us on our huge loss. Your support has been a great comfort to us. Thanks to those who sent us Mass Cards, letters, e mails, phone calls, donations and who attended her funeral, your kindness will not be forgotten. The members of the Masonic Order both here and overseas, the World Hockey Family, Delgany Golf Club, the Mermaids Golfing Society, Simon Morgan and the Keynotes. Thank you to Rev. Canon Fred Applebe, Rev. Canon Billy Marshall and Anne Thompson for their dedicated and generous support as well as our many, many friends who couldn't do enough for us and whose moral support has kept our heads above the grief that easily might have swamped us. Many thanks to David Fennelly her oncologist who cared for her diligently over the last ten years. The staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital and especially the nurses of the palliative unit of the Blackrock Hospice for their caring, compassionate and sympathetic treatment during her last weeks. They have shown the real meaning of vocational nursing. Also, our local District Nurses who came to our home every day and often twice a day and the night nurses who attended her in her final days. We are profoundly grateful to them all especially in the way that Georgie's dignity was always foremost in their caring. A special thanks to Dr. Elaine Desmond for her caring support over many years, a true friend. Finally, thank you Brian Carnegie and his staff for their sympathetic and compassionate funeral arrangements. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our gratitude and sincere appreciation.
