NERNEY - Gwen (late of Sandycove, Co Dublin). Treasured memories on the first anniversary of her death. Áine and Michael would like to thank everyone who sympathised and helped to celebrate Gwen’s life a year ago. Death was very difficult to manage at the beginning of the lockdown so we are grateful to all who helped us give her a dignified and loving burial. Many thanks to the staff of Tara Care Centre, Bray who looked after her with kindness and compassion for over four years; to Dr Ray Murphy and Dr Stephen Hawkins who helped to improve her quality of life for many years; to Fr Gerry Corcoran who celebrated a memorable funeral liturgy; to Robert Thomas and Ronan Murray who made sure that the church was flooded with warmth, sunshine and beautiful music; and to Martin Byrne at Quinn’s Funeral Home who guided us with quiet professionalism throughout the entire time. Finally, many thanks to all our friends and family who supported us and shared their memories of Gwen as a wonderful, charming and gracious lady. She was much loved, and she is dearly missed.
