McDERMOTT - John (Marlinstown and Beech Drive, Mullingar) - November 20, 2020 - As we remember Dad on his First Anniversary, Siubhan, Tom, Barry and Conor wish to thank all those who sympathised with us at the time of our enormous loss.

Thank you to everyone for your letters of sympathy, Mass cards and other expressions of condolence, including RIP. We greatly appreciate all those who due to Covid restrictions could not attend John’s funeral service but watched online, and to those who lined the way as his cortège passed by. A special thank you to extended family, friends, carers and great neighbours, old and new. Our deep gratitude to the staff of the St. Camillus Nursing Home for the loving care and kindness they gave to John. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Sympathy on John’s death. He was one of the first people to welcome us when we moved to Marlinstown in 1986. One of nature’s gentlemen. Lesley Whiteside
