McELWAIN, John (Patrick), (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny), June 23, 2017, (peacefully), after a long illness bravely borne under the loving care of all the staff of St. James's Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of Hilary and loving father of Mark, Ian and Sara and brother of the late Mary (Ward), Geraldine (Duggan) and Seamus. Deeply missed by his wife, children, daughters-in-law Alicia and Hazel, son-in-law Ian; his cherished grandchildren, James, Laura and Carys, sisters Sr. Ita (Maghamermore), Terry (Doyle), Anne (O'Reilly), Eileen (Burke) and Joan, together with his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. May he Rest in Peace. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff of the Blackrock Clinic, St. James's Hospital and MISA. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11.30 am in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock followed by Burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
