CONNOLLY Deirdre (née Lyons) (Stillorgan Park, Blackrock), died August 31, 2018. Much loved wife of Kevin, mother to Aidan, Maura and Angela. Beloved sister of Lorcan, John and Dr. Rory Lyons and the late Fr. Kevin Lyons O.M.I and Dr. Pearse Lyons. Devoted Grannan to Katherine, Áine, Lauren, Caragh and Olivia. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughter-in-law Kate Phillips Connolly and sons-in-law Paul Osborne and Shane Lombard, together with her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and wide circle of friends. We acknowledge with grateful thanks all of the messages, letters and expressions of support given to us during her short illness. We thank all of you who helped us in our bereavement, attended her removal, funeral, wrote to us and supported us over the past year. In particular, we would like to thank our friend, Fr. Edward Quinn O.M.I, for celebrating Deirdre's funeral Mass and to acknowledge the support shown to us by all of the priests of the parish of the Church of the Guardian Angels, Newtownpark Avenue. We especially thank Deirdre's friend, Antoinette Heery, soloist, whose beautiful voice lifted our spirits through the funeral ceremony. We remember the kindness shown to Deirdre by the doctors and nurses in St. Vincent's Private Hospital and by the team in Blackrock Hospice (and at home). The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.
