BYRNE - The family of Claire Byrne (née Canavan), of Corbally, Limerick and Nuns' Island, Galway would like to acknowledge our heartfelt gratitude for the continuous flow of support, sympathy and understanding extended to us in our grief at the death of Claire, deeply loving wife and life partner of Pat, and our beautiful mother, who died on June 13, 2012. We appreciate the exceptional kindness of friends, co-workers, neighbours and extended family who visited Claire in Galway and Limerick throughout her illness. Thank you to those who phoned or called to the house with gifts of food, flowers and words of comfort. We would like to thank the nursing, medical, surgical and palliative care staff of Galway University Hospital and Milford Hospice, Limerick for the professional care, kindness and consideration shown to Claire. The staff of Griffin Funerals, Limerick, were of enormous assistance in providing a peaceful home repose and attendant funeral services. We extend our appreciation to the clergy and those who assisted at the funeral services in St Nicholas's Church, Limerick and Mount Jerome, Dublin. Thank you to all who sent cards and letters to the family and who travelled from far and near to the funeral services in honour of Claire's life. We remain bereft but full of gratitude for the profound expressions of sympathy that are testimony to our beloved Claire, whose fully lived life exuded love, joy and optimism. "Nunc dimittis"
