RUDDY (née Holian) (Dillon Terrace, Ballina, Co. Mayo.) March 4, 2012. (peacefully) after a short illness, Rita, pre-deceased by her loving husband Jim. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters Margaret, Kathryn (Cawley), Ann (Gough) and Brigid (Mohan), son Jim, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister Bridie, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. May She Rest in Peace. Reposing at her residence this Tuesday from 3.00 o'clock with removal at 7.00 o'c to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina, Requiem Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11.30 o'c with the funeral proceeding to Leigue Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to The Arch Club, Ballina, C/o McGowans Funeral Directors.

<p>So kind to us...</p> We met Rita by way of Maureen Connolly, about a decade ago. She hosted us in her warm home serving us delicious meals, washed and ironed my clothes and drove us all through the beautiful countryside ending with a great walk and story telling of Ballani. We had always hoped we could treat her here however she never came back to California. Prayers to her loving family. Carole and Tom O'Malia, Calabasas, California
