DUTHIE (Dublin) - January 18, 2014, Ian (aged 49), beloved son of Arthur and the late Olive; peacefully after a brave fight against all the odds, suffering from muscular dystrophy from birth, and latterly form the big C. His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes scattered privately by his friends, who will quietly remember his life and times, his humour and wit, and have a drink in his memory. As his father, all I can say is 'What a Guy. Glad to have been with him through it all, and at the very end'. Donations if desired to Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, 75 Lucan Road, Chapelizod, Dublin 20.
