BARNES, Monica, (née MacDermott), (Glenageary, Co. Dublin), May 2, 2018, (suddenly) at home, (Former T.D., Senator and Member of the Council of State). Deeply regretted by her husband Bob, daughters Sarah and Joanne, sister Angela and brother Colm, grandchildren Ailbhe, Niall and Luke, extended family and her wide circle of friends. Predeceased by her beloved son Paul, brother Joe and sister Brid. May she Rest in Peace. Reposing in Carnegies Funeral Home, The Crescent, Monkstown today (Monday), May 7, from 2pm till 4pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Tuesday), May 8, at 11.30am at Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Churchview Road, Killiney, Co. Dublin followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross., Dublin 6w. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to ARC, Cancer Services, Eccles Street, Dublin 7.
