KANE Desmond W. (Des) (Glasnevin, Dublin and late of the ESB) - December 27, 2012. Peacefully in his 88th year following a short illness very bravely borne in the care of the staff of the Beneavin Lodge Nursing Home, Glasnevin. Beloved husband of the late Maura (née Fortune). Deeply regretted by his loving sons Paul and Des, daughter Susan (Kinane), daughters-in-law Alice and Una, son-in-law Gerry, grand- children Liz, Alan and Oran, great-grandchildren Matthew and Allie Rose, brother-in-law Johnny Fortune, relatives and his many friends who shared his love of music. Funeral this (Saturday) morning departing from Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, the Civic Centre, Ballymun Road (next to Garda Station) at 10.40 o'c to arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Dolours, Glasnevin for 11 o'c Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.
