Dear Murphy Family,
It is with immense sadness that we learned of Anna's death. She was an extraordinary person on so many levels. She was generous, kind and accepting of everyone who crossed her path. She had a humility unencumbered by ego or pretence. She quietly helped the vulnerable in her community and treated everyone from shopkeepers to neighbours to street people with the utmost respect. Even for those of us who are not religious, she embodied the best of Christianity. Anna had the enviable ability to live in the moment. She was always positive and possessed a wonderful sense of humour. Her infectious smile and ability to laugh at herself and the absurdity of life was endearing. We have many fond memories of her visits to Canada and our stay with her over the Christmas of 2001. We know that Anna's last days were made peaceful and comfortable by your love and extraordinary care. Your grief is immeasurable but we hope you can take some comfort in the knowledge of our high regard for your mother. We will all miss her immensely but are grateful to the profound inspiration her life provides. With love Conor, Jodie and Zoë
