McEVOY, Desmond (Des) died August 21, 2017 - His wife Evelyn, his sons and family would like to express appreciation to all those who have kindly supported us in our recent heartbreaking loss. Sincere thanks to many relatives, friends, and colleagues who visited our home, attended the funeral or wake, telephoned, sent kind letters, cards or messages in support. Thank you to those who travelled so far to be with us and show such kindness. It is appropriate also to acknowledge the professionalism, empathy and kindness shown to Des during his illness by Dr. John Blennerhasset, St. James's Hospital Oncology team, St. Francis Hospice and community services. Thank you to Fr. Mick Cullen of Raheny for the funeral service and to Fr. Eustace of St. Francis Hospice for much kindness. Des appreciated so much the love, support and loyalty shown by family members and dear friends throughout his life and very particularly in his difficult final year. Thank you all. As it will be impossible to thank you all individually we hope this notice will be an acceptable mark of appreciation. A Mass will be offered for your intentions.May he Rest in Eternal Peace
