DOYLE, Mary (née O’Dea) (Foxrock and formerly of Sandymount, Dublin) March 18, 2023. Peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and under the exceptional care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Beloved wife of William (Bill) and loving Mum to Katie, Julie, Sophia and Sally. She will be greatly missed by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law and cherished grandchildren Olivia, Hugo, Emily, Elodie, Sadie, Arthur and James. Mary will be lovingly remembered by Breege and siblings Michael, Séamus, Louis, Cathleen, Róisín, Patrick, John, Conor and Etsie, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended O’Dea and Doyle families and her wide circle of friends, especially Colette. Mary will be fondly remembered by past pupils and colleagues of Marian College where she taught for 37 years. Mary will be reposing this (Tuesday) evening from 5.00pm to 7.00m in Carnegie’s Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28). Funeral Mass tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10.00am in St. Mary’s, Star of the Sea, Sandymount, Dublin 4 followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery. I shall never forget Mary. She was a kind, intelligent, generous gentlewoman. Her kind support when I joined the staff of Marian College will remain with me always. I offer my deepest condolences to Bill, her children and all of her extended family. May her dear soul rest in eternal peace.
