JONES - Edward (Ted), Belfast - As we lovingly remember Ted on his First Anniversary on 5 March, we, Ted’s wife, Kate, his children Lizanne, Nick, Rachel and Judith, and his sister Eilish, together with our families, wish to extend our deep gratitude for the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We wish to sincerely thank our wonderful extended family, friends, neighbours and all those whose calls, video calls, letters and window visits sustained Ted during his illness and to those who honoured him in different ways following his death. For those who telephoned, sent floral tributes, cards and online messages of condolences, from near and far, at a time when you could not be physically present, we are truly grateful. A special word of thanks to Ted’s great friend, Dr George O’Neill, the doctors and staff from Salisbury Medical Centre, the pharmacists and staff of Fortwilliam Pharmacy, Dr Michelle McHenry and the staff of the Rheumatology Ward in Musgrave Hospital and the District Nurses for their exceptional care during the illness he bore with such fortitude, grace and determination. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the priests of St Gerard’s Parish, Fr Tim Bartlett and O’Kane’s Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements, and Catherine Hamilton for the moving music. Please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. Mass has been offered for your intentions. We will gather, as a family, to celebrate Ted’s life on March 5, 2022 at 3pm Mass in St. Gerard’s Parish. Please join us online https://www.mcn
